Deri V New Panteg

The young Deri side continued to play rugby this week like they have been doing for the last two matches.  Playing as a team with every player supporting each other.

Playing first half towards the Bargoed Inn they quickly settles down and made attack after attack only to be held out by the visitors defense.

The first try cane after more pressure with Young Fobsy Williams crashing over for the first try, nobody at that time could have envisaged what was to happen later on.  With both teams well balanced Deri struck again with two quick tries by Ginger Morgan both converted by the young lad Jacob Rowe.

Not to be outdone New Panted put a lot of Pressure on the Deri defense, and from a defending charge down scored a\ well deserved try.

Stung back into action Deri scored a penalty then the dominating pack of forwards earned a penalty try converted again by Jacob Rowe. Half time score 29-5.

An early try by team captain Dai Iles, quickly followed by Brendon Richards both unconverted put Deri well in charge.  Next one the score sheet after a scintillating move was Thomas Richards Converted by Jacob Rowe. Next t up to quick tries by No8 Jammy James one converted by Thomas Richards.  With backs and forwards interpassing with each other another try was scored by Morgans.  Finally the last try was Jammys hat trick converted by Thomas Richards.  Score on final whistle was 70-5
